As a follow up to Michael's public announcements, in which he said he has "filed a notice of civil claim for conspiracy defamation in the B.C. courts" (as documented elsewhere on this website) we obtained the court record he filed.

A copy of the Notice of Civil Claim (Court File No. NEW-S-S-257137) as filed with the court may be retrieved here.

Without claiming any legal expertise and without taking any position on the merits of any party’s position, in the filed NOCC Michael pleads that the defendants allege, among other things, that he:

  • lacks transparency and accountability
  • uses fundraising money for the Ranch for improper purposes including personal benefit rather than all going towards the horses
  • mistreats visitors and lures women to the Ranch under false pretences
  • he exploits people who are sick in hospitals or who have no family for his own financial gain

Important note: No court has made any finding that these allegations are true.

For remedy, among other things, Michael wants the defendants to:

  • pay damages, costs, and interest
  • stop posting or repeating the allegations
  • delete all existing references to him
  • never republish under any name or anonymously
  • disclose helpers, republishers, and all related communications
