Magnus Critical Recovery

MAGNUS STILL NEEDS OUR HELP

Magnus after a very difficult start to life losing his Dam, has been battling severe malnutrition and serious pneumonia with lung abscesses. But over the past two weeks there has been quite a bit of progress. He is no longer malnourished, no more diarrhea and his appetite is strong as he is tolerating a multitude of calorie rich feed, milk replacer and grains. His front legs are straightening out too. With corrective rasping of his front hooves, and becoming healthier he is finally developing properly.

He is still on three different meds to treat his pnuemonia, ulcers, lactose intolerance and a Rhodococus infection.
Thus, he remains on intensive nutritional support and treatment for his lungs, with a continued recovery ahead.

Magnus is finally thriving, but has a ways to go. His next Vet visit is coming up. They will perform all the exploratory procedures again to see how he has healed, progressed and what can be changed or has to be continued.
